la città projects is presented for the first time on the occasion of this year’s Arte Fiera. It is Hélène de Franchis’ idea to exhibit young or not so young artists, promoting their work even outside the art gallery. Studio la Città has been displaying the works of these artists for a while, in the rooms of the wide exhibition space in Lungadige Galtarossa, Verona, organising short exhibitions, often conceived with the help of curators. The idea of creating la città projects came from the wish to show “what you do not see but exists, covered in silence, waiting for a gaze that can actually see”, and therefore to introduce new proposals that have a shared interest for the “spirit of time”, that are independent from the market logic and whose artistic quality is undeniable.
