Tiziano Scarpa
Tiziano Scarpa was born in Venice in 1963, Since 1996, he has published novels, story collections, essays, poems and theatre pieces. Among his works on contemporary art is the novel Il brevetto del geco (Einaudi, 2016): it tells the story of Federico Morpio, an inspired and depressed artist seeking recognition. Scarpa has written essays and fiction on many artists, including Giorgio De Chirico, Mimmo Rotella, Alberto Savinio, Anish Kapoor, Magnus, Ryan Mendoza, Tino Sehgal, Stefano Arienti, Luca Bertolo, Bertozzi and Casoni, Mauro Ceolin, Andrea Contin, Paola Di Bello, Flavio Favelli, Maurizio Finotto, Luigi Gardenal, Francesca Ghermandi, Massimo Giacon, Fausto Gilberti, Marco Lodola, Bruno Muzzolini, Cristiano Pintaldi, Silvano Rubino, Wolfgang Stehle, and Fabio Visintin.
