Arte Fiera celebrates its 50th edition with Viaggio in Italia, a new project that for the first time involves all of the galleries in the Main Section and reinforces its role in the analysis and research of Italian art. This systematic itinerary focuses on an Italian artist, from 20th-century masters to new generations, presenting a work on paper.
Along with the Main Section, divided, as always, into post-war and contemporary art, Arte Fiera offered five curated, invitation-only sections.
“Fotografia e dintorni,” devoted to the photographic medium, is curated by Marta Papini. The section presents photography from a wide perspective, between formal research and a conceptual approach.
“Multipli,” curated by Lorenzo Gigotti, explores a wide range of media - lithographs, artist books, design pieces, graphics, photographs, as well as audio books and new media – and methods to increase reproducibility and accessibility.
“Pittura XXI,” curated by Ilaria Gianni, reinterprets painting as a contemporary medium in a period in which it has thundered back on the art scene.
“Prospettiva,” curated by Michele D’Aurizio, is dedicated to the creative research of young artists and features monographic presentations.
“Ventesimo+” is curated by Alberto Salvadori and focuses on collecting, and indicates possible methods and forms in the pursuit of eclecticism and transversality.
