MC2gallery was founded in 2009 by Vincenzo Maccarone, then a young collector, and Claudio Composti, a gallery owner who grew up in the artistic field thanks to his father, together with many of the most important artists of the Transavanguardia and Arte Povera movements. Mc2gallery specializes in the field of photography and post-photography, has collaborated for many years with confirmed artists and aims to discover and promote young emerging Italian and foreign artists, without neglecting attention to media such as painting, sculpture, video or installations. In 2018 the gallery opened its headquarters in Montenegro, but continues to promote and organize exhibitions in Italy and participate in the main art fairs in the world. MC2Gallery has become over the years a point of reference for the field of photography and the promotion of photographic culture.
