PITTURA XXI
Société Interludio was founded by the italo-brazilian curator Stefania Margiacchi (1990) and artist Paul de Flers (1988) in the autumn of 2018 in Turin, in their own flat at number 14 of Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The gallery’s main focus has always been contemporary painting, often inviting artists to think about site-specific works or even transforming the spaces into a studio-residence for guest artists. Research, dialogue and sharing can be defined the corner stones of Société Interludio. Alongside its main spaces in the city centre, in May 2023 Société Interludio opened a second space – an old early 20th-century sawmill converted into an exhibition space – in Cambiano, a small town in the hinterland of Turin. From 2024 this second location became the gallery main space, maintaining the link with the center of Turin thanks to ad hoc collaborations and site-specific projects.
