Digital transformation compels us to revise the economic and legal context of artworks and cultural heritage. With a focus on the concept of cultural responsibility and the enhancement of artistic heritage, Annapaola Negri-Clementi’s book analyzes both traditional and innovative dynamics of the art market and defines new legal paradigms to interpret changed economic realities.
In addition, the book examines the decisions of professionals in the cultural sector (collectors, companies, artists, auction houses, galleries, fairs, banking and financial institutions, museums and public institutions, consultants) and relates them to the corresponding legal analysis of business relations, thereby creating a sort of “branch of art law.”
The book also contains numerous cases of commercial transactions of artworks to clarify the legal context and the most common situations that lawyers, expert appraisers, and art curators may have to deal with legally, appraise economically, and estimate critically.
