Chiara Vecchiarelli

Chiara Vecchiarelli lives and works in Paris where she conducts research into image and reality at the École normale supérieure. She recently curated the programme “L'immagine-cosa” shown at Palazzo Grassi, Venice. She has curated exhibitions at the MAN Museum, Nuoro (2016); the Villa Croce Museum, Genoa (2016); MeetFactory, Prague (2015); The Emily Harvey Foundation, New York (2013-2012); Ca’ Zenobio, Venice (2010-2009), Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Venice (2010-2009); Tophane-i Amire Cultural Centre, Istanbul (2010); Palazzo delle Prigioni, Venice. Vecchiarelli directed the exhibition programme and events of the Emily Harvey Foundation, NYC (2013-2012);. She co-curated a section of the Istanbul Biennale public programme (2015), was the curatorial researcher for dOCUMENTA (13), and curator of the Research Section, Kassel (2012-2009). Her written works include essays, articles and books, published by several publishers including Humboldt Books, Nero, Cura, Skira, Mousse Publishing, Flash Art, and Sternberg Press.
