Gallery Directors

The Kanalidarte gallery in Brescia opened its first venue in 2009 turning the interest to kinetic, cine-visual and programmed Italian art of the Sixties and Seventies. Dating back to the early years the exhibitions dedicated to the Guppo T from Milan and the Gruppo N from Padova, shown together with other artists from the same Italian scene: Getulio Alviani, Agostino Bonalumi, Enrico Castellani, Dadamaino, Paolo Scheggi. Since the beginning, the gallery has paid attention to the international scene managing several exhibitions, including an important solo show dedicated to Luis Tomasello, a collective one introducing to GRAV and a retrospective on Bernard Aubertin's work. In 2016 Kanalidarte has inaugurated its second venue, a new project gallery with an exhibition programme investigating the most conceptual and processual art trends, through the proposal of artists internationally renowned such as Alighieri Boetti, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Gina Pane, Giulio Paolini, Hideyoshi Nagasawa.
