Rotary Award

Rotary Award

The Rotary Award, which reaches its 11th consecutive edition in 2023, is presented to the most creative installation at Arte Fiera 2023, whether the creation of an artist or the overall setup of a stand.

All of the Rotary Clubs of Bologna are participating in this 11th edition of the Award: Felsineo Rotary Group, Rotary International District 2072 Emilia Romagna and Republic of San Marino, Rotaract Bologna, and Libera Accademia di Studi Caravaggeschi “Francesco Maria Cardinal del Monte” research institute. The new aspect of this edition is the increased involvement of young people – the principal aim of the Award – deriving from the involvement of all the Rotaract Clubs in the Bologna area (Petroniano Group), along with Rotaract Bologna, partner since the very first edition of the Award.

The essential aims of the Award are unchanged: promote enthusiasm for contemporary art among young people and spread the Rotary’s principles of friendship and brotherhood among all people.

The Award consists of:

  • Arte Fiera 2023 Rotary Award to gallery
Assigned to an installation, or to the setup of a contemporary art gallery in a stand at Arte Fiera 2023, that is distinguished by originality and creativity. Not involving an acquisition, the award is open to all contemporary art galleries at Arte Fiera.

  • Special Rotaract Bologna award
Funded by the young members of Rotaract Bologna, this award consists of a cash prize to the artist or artists presented by the Gallery that wins the Rotary Award.

  • Special Andrea Sapone Rotary Club Bologna Valle del Samoggia award
In memory of Andrea Sapone, one of the organisers of the event, who died at an early age, this special cash prize is given to the artist or artists presented by the Gallery that wins the Rotary Award.
